Why don't the hollow point 380 ACP cartridges work in my 380 LCP?

I recently purchased a Ruger 380 Long Colt Pistol.I also purchased 380 Full Metal Jacket rounds,and 380 Automatic Colt Pistol Hollow Point rounds.The Hollow Point rounds jamb before they even make it to the chamber.Any Ideas??
