Fairly inexpensive yet dependable manufacturer of .45 acp 1911 model handgun?

I've not heard anything bad about the Rock Island Armory of the Philippines or Armscor as they are also known. I'm told they make a very good basic 1911 for the price, no more than usually $400. The Sistemas of Argentina if you can find one is also good as that is a Colt-Licensed copy, made on Colt Machinery by Colt trained personnel
