Which bullet is more powerful and which has more grains total?

The 185 gr is the number of grains of the weight of the bullet. The +P means that the ammo develops more pressure than the SAAMI limit and can destroy guns not built beyond SAAMI specs. With higher pressure, the bullet typically goes faster which would result in an increase in energy.
