Need opinions: CZ 75 B .40S&W - decent or should I be looking for something better?

Primary use: service / home defense but more service than anything. I was really considering 45 acp but thought it's too much overkill and got tired of all the 1911 or "1911 form factor" recommendations online. I'm also considering "looks" as 5% of my purchase and I think the CZ impresses, reason being in a lawless scenario - a nickel finish will be easy to recognize.
