Will the recent spike in Sulphur emissions from developing countries be offsetting temp increases?

SO2 has a short residence time in the atmosphere while CO2 remains in the atmosphere for centuries. With developing countries increasing both SO2 and CO2 emissions, the atmospheric SO2 concentrations are proportional to current SO2 emissions while CO2 concentrations are proportional to cumulative CO2 emissions. Therefore, the spike in SO2 emissions by developing countries will only offer temporary relief from global warming.
