.380 acp or .38 special for self defense and why?

With all the compact 9mm Paras out now there is no reason to pack a .380 acp. More power in guns about the same size is makes better sense. The Kimber Solo, Kel Tec Pf-9, kahr pm9's & pm 45's, Taurus Slim series, Ruger SR-9 & Walther PPS. These are the way to go. The S & W L frame? Most carry the smaller J frame 5 shots. But if want a wheel gun? Consider the Ruger LCR Poly Revolver & the newer 357 version. Lighter more compact gun than the 686.
